Common questions
- It says 404 TOILET NOT FOUND, but I'm looking right at one.
- Step back so the whole toilet is in the picture, turn the light on, and try again. The check happens on your phone, so a bad angle or a dark room is the usual culprit.
- Why did I get kicked out of the room?
- A session lasts 15 minutes at most, and it also ends if a loo-view re-check doesn't match. Nothing you said is lost — you'll just come back with a new username.
- I got a new phone. Can I keep my friends?
- Yes, if you connected your Apple account on the account page of your old phone: connect the same Apple account on the new one and your friends and toilet map come with you. If you didn't, there's nothing to move them with — ShatChat doesn't know who you are.
- How do I delete my account?
- Open the account page and tap Delete account. It permanently deletes your name, friends, and chat history. If you can't get into the app any more, send us a message and we'll take care of it.
- Someone in the room is being a jerk.
- Every message in the room has a report button. Reports come straight to us, and we remove content and ban accounts that break the rules. DMs don't have one, so if someone's bothering you there, send us a message here.
